James P. Swift, Esquire
Jim has been an attorney since 1988 and has owned his own practice since 1993. He is licensed to practice law in New Jersey. Jim obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law in 1988 and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985. He graduated from the Margate Public Schools and is a graduate of Atlantic City High School. Jim is also a graduate of the United States Army Infantry Training Center (U.S.A.I.T.C.) at Fort Benning, Georgia and served in the Army Reserves from 1988 through 1994 and is Honorably Discharged. Jim proudly serves on the Margate City school board. Jim lives in Margate, New Jersey with his 4 children.
Claire S. Swift, Esquire
Claire has been licensed in New Jersey since 1999. In September 2003, Claire joined Swift Law Firm, LLC. From September 2000-2003, Claire worked as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey. From September 1999-2000, Claire clerked for the Honorable Michael Winkelstein, Assignment Judge of the Atlantic-Cape May County vicinages. Claire obtained her Juris Doctor of Law from the Widener School of Law in 1999. Claire earned her Bachelor of Art in International Relations Degree and History Minor from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. Claire graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1992. Claire lives in Margate, New Jersey with her husband and 3 children.
Joseph P. Swift, Esquire
Licensed in New Jersey since December 2003, Joe joined Swift Law Firm, LLC in December 2003. Before working here, Joe clerked for the Honorable Vincent Segal, Presiding Family Judge of the Atlantic-Cape May County vicinages. Joe obtained his Juris Doctor of Law from the Rutgers School of Law in 2002. Joe earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998. Joe graduated from the Atlantic City High School in 1994. Joe lives in Margate, New Jersey with his wife and 8 children.
Jennifer C. Swift, Office Manager
She has been with Swift Law Firm, LLC since 2000. Jen worked at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Children’s Seashore House as a Registered Nurse/Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for 15 years before joining the firm. Jen received her Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989. Jen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University in 1986. Jen also graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1982.
Jill Tiemann, Paralegal
Jill Tiemann is a certified paralegal and has been with the firm since 2009. She is a graduate of the Stockton College of New Jersey where she earned her bachelor's degree in History and earned her Paralegal Certificate from Atlantic Cape Community College. She is also a Mainland Regional High School graduate in Linwood, New Jersey. Jill has been working in the law field since 1988. She is a notary public and is part of the Swift Law Firm, LLC team.
Tracey McGuckin, Legal Assistant
Tracey McGuckin, Legal Assistant. Tracey has been with the firm since 2016. Originally from Ireland, she has resided in the United States since 1980. Tracey is an asset to the firm because she is seasoned and has worked in several offices prior to working at Swift Law Firm
Natalie Mora, Legal Assistant
Natalie Mora, Legal Assistant. Natalie has been with the firm since the summer of 2018. She is a student at Stockton State College. She is an
asset to Swift Law Firm because she is a hard worker and is bilingual in Spanish.
Michael Martirone, Legal Assistant
Michael Martirone, Legal Assistant. Mike has been with the firm since 2003. He is a full time teacher in at EHT High School where is was awarded “Teacher of the Year.” Mike works at the firm for all school holidays and summer breaks. Mike is a big asset to Swift Law Firm because he has known our family and clients for over 15 years.
